Comments Now Open to Unregistered Users

Monday, May 12th, 2008

After careful consideration, we will now be allowing unregistered users to comment.  You will be required to provide a name and e-mail address when commenting but will no longer be required to register.  Your e-mail will not be published in the comments but will be able to be seen by any of the site admins for verification purposes.

All comments will be held for moderation before they appear on the site so that we can prevent spam and malicious links from appearing.

We hope that this makes it easier and encourages our readers to provide us with comments and feedback.

How to Leave Feedback and Comments

Friday, May 9th, 2008

We encourage our site visitors and blog readers to leave comments on any of the posts.  We hope this will allow us to interact more with those who visit the site regularly.

However, in order to discourage spam and malicious links, we require that you register as a subscriber before commenting.

In order to do so, click the link at the bottom of the post under the “Reply” header.  You will be taken to a screen asking you to log in.  At the bottom of this screen there is a link to register.  You’ll be asked for a user name and e-mail address.  The system will e-mail you a password once you have entered this information.

You can then use your user name and password to log in and leave comments whenever you choose.

Changes to Vision Care

Friday, November 30th, 2007

We were informed yesterday that there are some changes to vision services under Part B of the CARE Act.

Effective immediately, we will no longer be able to pay for routine eye exams and eyeware through an optometrist’s office.

Vision services must be directly related to HIV healthcare needs.  All eye exams must be performed by an opthamologist in order to screen for eye disease.  Once this is done, we can then assist with any treatment that is deemed necessary by the opthamologist.

If you have any current optical health issues please be sure to contact us so that we can assist you in obtaining care.
