I feel like such a waste when I have so much knowledge, and not to mention just to have lived with this disease so long I should be doing some kind of work if it’s education or cleaning someone’s house for them or cooking a hot meal. I have always wanted to be involved. I feel that only someone who has lived with it can know what the needs of PWA’s are. I would be a wealth of information. My Dr. (Dr. Jimmy Acklin) said that out of my refusal to take meds in the earlier years, and that I have done so well (14 years and still just HIV without meds) that he has since started treating his patients differently. I have been at the front of this battle since I was 18, now I am 33 and I know that I am supposed to be helping and loving other PWA’s. Please help me find something in the Fort Smith area. The HRSA seems so counterproductive. I hope this doesn’t make the HIV patients lose hope and do something drastic like engage in drugs that could lead to further spread of the virus through their subsequent actions i.e sharing needles
