We were informed yesterday that there are some changes to vision services under Part B of the CARE Act.

 Effective immediately, we will no longer be able to pay for routine eye exams and eyeware through an optometrist’s office.

Vision services must be directly related to HIV healthcare needs.  All eye exams must be performed by an opthamologist in order to screen for eye disease.  Once this is done, we can then assist with any treatment that is deemed necessary by the opthamologist.
